Booking & quotes

How do I get a removals quote?

Message us on WhatsApp with your pickup address, destination and roughly what's moving — a short video of each room is ideal. We'll come back with a fixed written quote, usually the same day.

Do you cover my area?

Almost certainly. We run removals across England, Scotland and Wales — every London borough, every major city and thousands of towns and villages. Check your area on our Areas page.

Are my belongings insured during the move?

Yes. Every move is covered by goods-in-transit insurance and public liability insurance. If you have unusually valuable items, tell us when you book and we'll make sure the cover fits.

Can you pack for me?

Yes — our packing service covers everything from a full home pack the day before your move to a fragiles-only pack on the morning. Materials are included.

How much notice do you need?

For a full house move, a week or two is comfortable. But we hold crews for short-notice and same-day moves — if you're stuck today, message us now and we'll tell you honestly what we can do.

Do you move things into storage?

Yes. We collect, inventory and deliver into secure storage, and bring everything back when you're ready. Useful for gaps between completions and renovations.

What size van will my move need?

That's our job to get right — it's part of the quote. Tell us what's moving and we'll size the vehicle and crew, so you never pay for space you don't use.

Do you dismantle and reassemble furniture?

Yes, when it's agreed in the quote. Beds, wardrobes and dining tables are dismantled, their fixings bagged and taped to the furniture, and reassembled at the new place.

House Removals

About our house removals service →

How long does a house move take?

A typical 3-bed local move is loaded, driven and unloaded in a day. Larger homes or long-distance moves may be packed the day before — the plan and timings come with your quote.

Do I need to empty drawers?

Soft contents can usually stay in sturdy drawers. Anything fragile, heavy or valuable should come out — your booking confirmation includes a simple prep list.

Can you move a piano?

Yes — uprights and grands are moved with dedicated equipment and crew. Tell us when you book so we plan it in.

What if my completion time slips?

It happens on plenty of moves. We build a reasonable waiting window into completion-day bookings and keep in touch with you through the day.

Do you do long-distance house moves?

Yes — England, Scotland and Wales, with the same crew door to door. Long-distance moves are usually packed and loaded on day one, delivered the next morning.

Can you pack the whole house too?

Yes — add our full packing service and the crew packs every room the day before, to insurance standard, materials included.

Are you insured?

Every move carries goods-in-transit and public liability insurance. If something exceptional needs extra cover, tell us at survey and we'll arrange it.

How far in advance should I book?

One to two weeks is comfortable for a full house move; end-of-month Fridays go first. Booked completion but no firm date? Reserve provisionally and confirm free.

Flat & Apartment Removals

About our flat & apartment removals service →

My sofa came in through the window. Can you get it out?

Usually yes — dismantling arms and feet solves most of these. Where hoisting is genuinely needed we'll arrange it with specialist kit. Flag it at survey and we'll plan it properly.

There's nowhere to park outside my block. What happens?

We either arrange a parking suspension or bay permit in advance, or price a planned carry from the nearest legal stop. Either way it's decided before moving day, not argued on it.

Do you need to book the service lift?

If your building has one, yes — and we'll handle the booking and any insurance paperwork the managing agent wants. Just give us the contact.

Can you move me out of a top-floor walk-up?

Yes. Stair carries are priced honestly at survey — more crew, more time, same fixed-quote promise.

Will you protect the communal hallway?

Always. Runners and padding go down in shared areas before we move a single item — it protects your deposit and our reputation.

How long does a flat move take?

A one-bed with decent access is often done in half a day. Stairs, carries and lift queues add time — your quote includes an honest estimate for your actual building.

Office Removals

About our office removals service →

How much notice does an office move need?

Small offices: two to three weeks is workable. Larger floors with IT and new furniture: four to eight weeks lets the plan breathe. Tight deadline? Ask — phased moves solve a lot.

Can you move us over a weekend?

That's our default. Most office moves load Friday evening and deliver Saturday, leaving Sunday as the buffer that means Monday is normal.

Who packs the desks?

Usually your team packs personal desk contents into the crates we deliver (it's faster and cheaper), and we pack everything shared: IT, files, kitchen, meeting rooms. Full-pack is available if you'd rather not.

Do you move server racks?

We move server and comms equipment to your IT team's shutdown sequence, padded and upright. For live rack de-racking we work alongside your IT provider.

Our new building needs insurance documents before we can book the lift.

Standard. Your coordinator sends RAMS, method statements and insurance certificates to both building managers as part of the plan.

Can you dispose of the old furniture?

Yes — our clearance arm handles WEEE-compliant disposal and charity donation of surplus furniture, documented for your records.

Student Removals

About our student removals service →

I've only got boxes and a bike. Is that too small a job?

Not at all — small loads are the point of this service. One mover and a van covers most student moves, priced accordingly.

Can you store my stuff over summer?

Yes. We collect at end of term, store securely, and redeliver to your new address in September. Cheaper than a wasted summer of rent.

Can my parents book and pay from home?

Of course — most student moves are booked exactly that way. Everything is confirmed in writing to whoever's paying.

Do you do moves between cities?

Yes — Manchester to London, Leeds to Edinburgh, wherever the course takes you. Long-distance student loads often share a route, which keeps the price down.

My halls only allow move-outs 9am–12pm. Can you hit that?

Yes — tell us the window when you book and we'll schedule inside it. We work to halls' rules every June and September.

Do I need to be there?

Ideally yes for key handover, but with your permission and arranged access (a housemate, porter or agent) we can run the move without you.

Same-Day Removals

About our same-day removals service →

How fast can you actually be here?

In our core areas, often within two to four hours of confirming — sometimes faster. Message first thing and you're near the front of the day.

Does same-day cost more?

The quote reflects the job — crew, van, distance, hours — not panic. There's no surge multiplier; short-notice slots simply use the capacity we hold back.

Can you do a full house same-day?

Frequently, yes — depends on size, access and distance. A 3-bed local move started by 10am is very achievable. Message us the details and we'll answer straight.

My completion is today and the sellers haven't left. Can you wait?

We build a waiting window into completion-day work and stay in touch through the day. It's the most common 'emergency' there is.

Can you move just one item urgently?

Yes — an appliance for a tenant, a sofa before a viewing, a returned deposit's worth of furniture. Small urgent jobs are welcome.

What if you can't do today?

We tell you immediately and offer the earliest real slot — usually tomorrow morning. What we won't do is say yes and let you down at 4pm.

Packing Services

About our packing services service →

How long does a full house pack take?

A 3-bed home is typically packed by a crew in a day, scheduled the day before your move. Bigger homes get a bigger crew or an extra day.

Is packing by you required for insurance?

Owner-packed boxes are carried, but cover is strongest on what our crews pack — that's the insurance standard. Fragile-only packs exist precisely to cover the risky stuff.

Do you supply boxes without the packing service?

Yes — materials-only orders (boxes, paper, tape, wardrobe boxes) are delivered to your door. Tell us your home size and we'll send the right bundle.

Can you pack just the kitchen?

The kitchen-and-fragiles pack is our most popular option — we take the breakables, you do the wardrobes and books.

What about TVs and artwork?

Flat screens travel in padded TV boxes, art and mirrors in adjustable picture boxes with corner protection. Tell us sizes at booking.

Do you unpack too?

Yes — add unpacking and we place contents to your direction and remove every empty box the same day.

Storage & Moves to Storage

About our storage & moves to storage service →

My completion dates don't line up. Can you cover the gap?

This is our most common storage job: we move you out on completion day, hold everything securely, and deliver to the new house the day you get keys — whether that's three days or three months later.

How do I know what's in storage?

Every item is inventoried at collection and you get the list. The same list is checked off at redelivery — nothing goes missing quietly.

Can I get something out mid-storage?

Yes, by arrangement — the inventory tells us where it is. Partial retrievals are a normal part of longer stays.

Is storage climate-controlled?

Facilities are dry, ventilated and alarmed — right for furniture and household goods. For wine collections or instruments needing tight climate bands, tell us and we'll advise honestly.

What can't go into storage?

Perishables, plants, hazardous materials (paint, gas, fuel) and anything living. If in doubt, ask — the answer takes a minute.

Do you charge collection and redelivery separately?

Your quote lays out all three parts — collection, storage rate, redelivery — in writing before you book. No surprises at retrieval time.

House Clearance

About our house clearance service →

How quickly can you clear a house?

Most homes clear in a day; larger or very full properties take two. End-of-tenancy deadlines and completion dates are normal constraints — tell us the date and we'll plan backwards from it.

What happens to the furniture?

Anything with usable life goes to charity partners (documented), materials are recycled where possible, and only genuine waste is disposed of — with transfer notes you can show a landlord or solicitor.

We're clearing a parent's house after a bereavement. How do you handle that?

Gently and to your instructions. Anything personal — photographs, documents, jewellery — is set aside as found, and family items on your keep-list are protected. Take the decisions at your pace; we work around them.

Can you clear but leave certain rooms?

Yes — partial clearances to a keep-list are common. Walk us through (in person or on video) and we'll clear precisely around what stays.

Are you licensed to take waste?

Yes — we're licensed waste carriers and provide waste transfer notes as standard. Never let unlicensed clearers take waste: fly-tipped items trace back to the householder.

Do you buy anything?

Where a clearance contains items of genuine resale value, we'll say so and offset the value against the job — transparently, in the written quote.

Man and Van

About our man and van service →

Is one person really enough?

For most single items and small loads, yes — our vans carry ramps, trolleys and straps. Where the item or the stairs demand two, we say so in the quote rather than struggle on your doorstep.

Can you collect something I bought online?

All the time — marketplace sofas, auction wins, shop collections. Send the seller's postcode and photos of the item; we'll handle pickup and delivery.

How is this different from your house removals service?

Scale. Man and van is one mover, one van, small loads. When it's a whole home, the house removals service brings the crew, the survey and the full protection kit.

Do you do eBay/Gumtree/Facebook pickups where I can't be present?

Yes — with your instructions and the seller's details we collect on your behalf and video-check the item with you before loading.

Can I ride along?

Where insurance and space allow, usually yes for local jobs — ask when booking.

What's a part-load?

If your item can travel on a route we're already driving, it shares the van and the cost drops. Flexible timing is all it takes.

Nationwide Removals

About our nationwide removals service →

How far will you move us?

Anywhere in England, Scotland or Wales — Land's End to John o' Groats if the move demands it. Our route pages show real mileages and drive times between major cities.

Same-day or overnight delivery?

Under roughly four hours' drive, most moves deliver the same day. Beyond that we load in the afternoon, secure the van overnight and deliver fresh the next morning — you're never unloading at midnight.

Where does the van stay overnight?

Secured and locked at a monitored location, with your inventory sealed inside. It's part of the plan we confirm in your quote.

What's a part-load and would it suit us?

If your belongings don't fill a van and your dates flex by a day or two, your move can share a vehicle already running the route — same care, lower cost. Ask when you message us.

Do you cover Northern Ireland or the islands?

Mainland Britain is our network. For crossings (Northern Ireland, Isle of Wight, the Scottish islands) ask us — some routes we quote with the ferry leg included, honestly priced.

How much notice does a long-distance move need?

Two weeks is comfortable; a week is usually workable. Short-notice long-distance is possible when crews align — message us and we'll answer straight.

European Removals

About our european removals service →

Which countries do you cover?

The Western European mainland is our core: France, Spain, Portugal, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Italy, Austria and Switzerland. Further afield — ask; we'll answer honestly about routes and timelines.

What is ToR and do I need it?

Transfer of Residence relief lets you import household goods into the UK without duty when moving home. Moving INTO the UK you'll want ToR1 approval before the van travels — we guide you through applying. Moving out, the destination country's rules apply and we prepare the paperwork they expect.

How long does a European move take?

Nearby routes (northern France, Belgium, the Netherlands) run in 2–3 days door to door. Spain, Italy or further are typically 3–7 depending on dedicated vs part-load. Your quote includes the honest schedule.

Can you move us back to the UK from Europe?

Yes — returns are half our European work. Same service in reverse, with UK import paperwork (including ToR) handled with you.

Are my belongings insured across borders?

Yes — goods-in-transit cover applies across the full international route, and the valued inventory doubles as your insurance schedule.

Dedicated van or part-load — which should I pick?

Fixed dates or a whole home: dedicated. Flexible dates and a smaller load: part-load can cut the cost substantially. We'll recommend honestly when we see your list.

Furniture & Delivery

About our furniture & delivery service →

Can you collect something I bought on Facebook Marketplace or eBay?

All the time. Send the seller's postcode and the listing photos; we agree a collection window with them, video-check the item with you before loading, and deliver it into your room.

Do you deliver from stores?

Yes — furniture shops, DIY stores and auction houses. Give us the order or lot number and we handle the collection desk.

Is it one person or two?

Most single items are one experienced mover with kit. Pianos, American fridges, wardrobes and bad stairs get two — we say which in the quote, never on the doorstep.

Can you take the old item away?

Often, yes — a sofa swap or appliance disposal can ride the same trip. Licensed disposal is documented; ask when booking.

How fast can a single item move?

Same-week is normal, same-day is frequent. Flexible timing lets your item share a route, which is also the cheapest way to move it.

What if it doesn't fit through my door?

Tell us the item and the access and we'll assess before travelling. Feet off, arms off, sash out of a window — our movers solve most of it; hoists we arrange when genuinely needed.

Furniture Assembly

About our furniture assembly service →

Do you assemble IKEA furniture?

Daily — PAX systems, kitchens, beds and everything smaller. Send your order list and we'll quote the build as one fixed job.

Can you rebuild furniture after a move?

Yes — it's the natural second half of dismantle-for-transit. If we moved you, the fixings are already bagged and taped to each piece; if another firm moved you, we'll still make sense of it.

My wardrobe needs anchoring to the wall. Do you do that?

Yes, and with children in the house we'll recommend it unprompted. Straps and appropriate wall fixings are part of the kit we carry.

What if parts are missing or damaged?

We carry common cam locks, dowels and screws, and we'll tell you immediately if a panel is damaged so you can claim from the retailer before the build continues.

Do you take the packaging away?

Yes — flattened, removed and recycled. It's included, because leaving you a cardboard mountain isn't finishing the job.

Can you dismantle furniture I'm selling or storing?

Yes — careful dismantling with fixings bagged and labelled, ready for the buyer's van or the storage unit.
