Moving house is the big one — the move where everything you own travels at once and everything has to arrive. Our house removals service is built around that reality: we survey before we quote, plan the load before we arrive, and put a crew on your doorstep that has done this hundreds of times.
Every house move starts with understanding your home. A WhatsApp video walk-through (or our question checklist) tells us how many crew, what vehicle, what protection and how many hours your move genuinely needs. That's why our quotes are fixed and written — we've already done the thinking before we price it.
On the day, the same team handles everything: wrapping and loading at your old address, the drive, and room-by-room unloading at the new one. Beds rebuilt, sofas placed, boxes in the rooms their labels name. We leave when you're happy, not when the van is empty.

How long does a house move take?
A typical 3-bed local move is loaded, driven and unloaded in a day. Larger homes or long-distance moves may be packed the day before — the plan and timings come with your quote.
Do I need to empty drawers?
Soft contents can usually stay in sturdy drawers. Anything fragile, heavy or valuable should come out — your booking confirmation includes a simple prep list.
Can you move a piano?
Yes — uprights and grands are moved with dedicated equipment and crew. Tell us when you book so we plan it in.
What if my completion time slips?
It happens on plenty of moves. We build a reasonable waiting window into completion-day bookings and keep in touch with you through the day.
Do you do long-distance house moves?
Yes — England, Scotland and Wales, with the same crew door to door. Long-distance moves are usually packed and loaded on day one, delivered the next morning.
Can you pack the whole house too?
Yes — add our full packing service and the crew packs every room the day before, to insurance standard, materials included.
Are you insured?
Every move carries goods-in-transit and public liability insurance. If something exceptional needs extra cover, tell us at survey and we'll arrange it.
How far in advance should I book?
One to two weeks is comfortable for a full house move; end-of-month Fridays go first. Booked completion but no firm date? Reserve provisionally and confirm free.

Packing & protection standards
What "careful" means when we say it.
- Furniture wrapped, always. Transit blankets and stretch-wrap on every sofa, table and wardrobe — before it leaves the room.
- Mattresses and bedding bagged. Sealed protective covers keep beds clean from door to door.
- Fragiles double-boxed. Glassware, ceramics and artwork packed in double-walled boxes with paper wrap — never loose.
- Floors and frames protected. Runners on carpets, padding on door frames and banisters at both properties.
- Loaded like it matters. Heavy at the base, strapped in tiers, nothing resting on anything it shouldn't. Loading is a skill and we treat it as one.

Confirm parking at both ends, redirect your post, and photograph meter readings and valuable items.
The day before
Pack an essentials box — kettle, chargers, medication, kids' favourites — and defrost the freezer.
Moving morning
Strip beds, keep documents and keys on you (not in the van), and walk the crew round the home.
At the new place
Direct boxes by room label, check the inventory with the crew, then find the kettle first.
